1. Summary

LittleNest lets families create private family spaces, called Nests, and save moments such as photos, videos, Live Photos, dates, captions, and family member information. Your family content is not a public social feed.

2. Scope

This Policy covers personal information processed when you use LittleNest, create or join a Nest, upload or view moments, manage family members, contact support, or visit our legal website.

This Policy does not apply to third-party websites or services that LittleNest does not control, such as Apple, Google, device operating systems, or app stores. Their privacy policies govern their own processing.

3. Information We Collect

Account and authentication information

We may collect your email address, display name, profile photo, birthday if you choose to add it, country or region, locale, timezone, authentication provider, login status, account status, and account timestamps. LittleNest supports sign-in methods such as Apple, Google, and email-based authentication. Authentication is handled by our authentication provider. We do not store your Apple password, Google password, or email one-time code in our business database.

Family space and member information

When you create or join a Nest, we collect information such as Nest name, Nest avatar or cover image, member display names, role labels, account email if applicable, birthdays if provided, avatars, membership status, invitation information, join requests, and timestamps. A person may belong to more than one Nest.

Child profile information

LittleNest may let a parent or guardian create a child profile without a separate child login. Child profile information may include a name or nickname, birthday, avatar, role label, and family relationship context. If an older child is invited to use an account, we may process that child's account and usage information as described in this Policy.

Moments and family content

We collect content you choose to save in LittleNest, including photos, videos, Live Photos, captions, notes, titles, dates, associated people, thumbnails, display images, file size, media dimensions, duration, and technical metadata needed to store and display the content. Moment content belongs in the Nest where it was created and is visible to active members of that Nest.

Device, app, and diagnostics information

We may collect app version, operating system, device model, locale, timezone, upload status, error information, and basic diagnostics when you send feedback or when needed to maintain the service. We do not automatically attach family photos, videos, child profiles, or moment content to feedback unless you choose to include them.

Communications and support information

If you contact us, send feedback, or request help, we may collect your contact email, message content, screenshots you choose to provide, support category, and related diagnostics.

Website information

When you visit our public legal pages, our hosting and security providers may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, request logs, and security events. We use this to serve the site, protect it, and understand basic reliability.

4. Children and Family Profiles

LittleNest is designed for parents, guardians, and family members to preserve family memories. It may include information about children because families often record children's milestones and daily moments.

If you create a profile for a child, upload content that includes a child, or invite a child to use LittleNest, you represent that you have the authority and consent required to provide that information and to allow it to be used in the relevant Nest. Parents and guardians are responsible for deciding what child information is appropriate to save and share with Nest members.

LittleNest is not intended for children to use without appropriate parent or guardian involvement. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child in a way that requires parental consent and that consent was not provided, we will take reasonable steps to delete or restrict that information.

To request review, correction, or deletion of child information, contact us at support@littlenest.app.

5. How We Use Information

We use personal information and family content to:

Where required by law, we rely on one or more legal bases to process personal information:

7. How We Share Information

Within your Nest

Family content in a Nest is visible to active members of that Nest. Members can see moments, media, timelines, family member profiles, and recaps associated with that Nest. LittleNest does not currently provide per-moment visibility controls; access is managed at the Nest level.

Service providers

We share information with service providers that help us operate LittleNest. These may include cloud database and storage providers, authentication providers, app infrastructure providers, email or notification providers, website hosting providers, analytics or diagnostics providers if enabled, and customer support tools. These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to us.

Sign-in providers and app stores

If you sign in with Apple or Google, those providers process your authentication according to their own terms and policies. App stores may process purchase, installation, crash, or review information under their own policies.

Legal, safety, and business transfers

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users or the service, to investigate abuse or security incidents, to enforce our Terms, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.

No sale or targeted advertising use

We do not sell personal information. We do not use family content, photos, videos, child profiles, or private moments for third-party targeted advertising.

8. AI and Automated Features

LittleNest may provide memory cards, weekly recaps, suggestions, or summaries based on your family moments. Some versions may use rule-based processing only; future versions may use AI service providers.

If AI features are enabled, we will process only the content needed to provide the feature, such as captions, dates, selected metadata, and where necessary media content. AI outputs may be imperfect and should be treated as generated summaries, not official records. We will update this Policy or provide in-app notice if we materially change how AI features use family content.

We do not use your private family content to train our own general-purpose AI models unless we obtain appropriate consent or another lawful basis and provide required disclosures.

9. Storage, Security, and International Transfers

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including authentication, access-control rules, private storage for moment media, secure transport, and database access policies. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

LittleNest may store and process information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws different from those in your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

Your device may also store local session information, cached media previews, drafts, and app preferences. You can clear some local data through app settings or device settings. Clearing local cache does not delete cloud-stored moments.

10. Retention

We keep personal information and family content for as long as needed to provide LittleNest, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security.

11. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

You can use the app to edit profile information, manage family membership, delete moments you created, delete a Nest you created, sign out, and request account deletion. Some requests may require identity verification.

Residents of certain U.S. states, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and other regions may have additional privacy rights under local law. We will respond to valid requests as required by applicable law.

To make a privacy request, contact us at support@littlenest.app.

12. Device Permissions

LittleNest requests device permissions only when needed for app features:

You can change permissions in your device settings. If you disable a permission, related features may not work.

13. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice in the app, by email, or by another reasonable method. The updated Policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
