Delete your LittleNest account
This page explains how to delete your LittleNest account and what happens to your account data, family memberships, and shared family memories.
1. How to Request Account Deletion
You can request account deletion inside the LittleNest app:
- Open LittleNest.
- Go to Settings.
- Open Privacy and Data.
- Select Delete account.
- Review the deletion notice and confirm the request.
If you cannot access the app, email us at support@littlenest.app from the email address associated with your account and include "Account deletion request" in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity before processing the request.
2. Important Family Creator Rule
If you are the creator of any active Nest, you must delete those Nests before deleting your account. This prevents a family space from being left without the person who created and controls it.
To delete a Nest, open the relevant Family settings in the app and choose the family deletion option. Deleting a Nest permanently deletes that family space, its members, moments, media, invitations, join requests, and recap data.
3. What We Delete
When your account deletion is completed, LittleNest is designed to delete or remove:
- your authentication account;
- your account profile, such as display name, email, profile photo reference, locale, timezone, and profile settings;
- your active family membership records;
- join requests you created;
- personal profile media associated with your account where technically available;
- local session data on the device after deletion completes.
4. What May Remain
Deleting your account is not always the same as deleting every family memory that other Nest members can access. Because LittleNest is a shared family memory space, moments already added to a Nest may remain available to other active Nest members unless you delete those moments first or the Nest creator deletes the entire Nest.
After account deletion, historical moments may show a removed or unavailable creator instead of your account profile. Backups, logs, abuse-prevention records, security records, and records required by law may also remain for a limited time.
5. Delete Moments Before Deleting Your Account
If you want to remove a specific moment you created, delete that moment in the app before deleting your account. Deleting a moment permanently deletes the moment record and its associated photos, videos, thumbnails, display images, and Live Photo motion video files where applicable.
6. Processing Time
In-app deletion is designed to complete promptly after confirmation if there are no blocking issues. Email requests are generally processed within 30 days after we verify the request, unless a longer period is allowed or required by law.
7. After Deletion
After your account is deleted:
- you will no longer be able to sign in with that account;
- you will lose access to all Nests associated with that account;
- your device session will be cleared;
- account deletion cannot be undone;
- you may create a new account later, but the deleted account and its deleted data may not be recoverable.
